Just off of US Highway 2, east of Stevens Pass, Lake Wenatchee and its little grass strip sit high in the Washington Cascades. One of a handful of state-owned emergency strips in the Cascade passes, Lake Wenatchee State offers access to lots of mountain recreation options, and is a reassuring sight to see while crossing the rugged North Cascades.
