Arlington Airshow Kudus
« on: July 15, 2012, 07:26:45 PM »
Although I didn't get a chance to talk to Smutny (I saw him cruise by once), I think he deserves Kudus for 'another job well done'.  Seems to me that everything went off quite well, especially given the weather.  Thanks John! 8) 8)

Very professional and well organized. The B17 and B25 were a great bonus!
Already looking forward to next year

Arlington was great this year. A little lightning to shake things up, but Saturday was splendid.

It did take me all day to get from AWO to 0S9 today. Third attempt about dusk, finally made it in.

The Jeffco webcam comes in handy, since there is no wx reporting there,

Agreed.  Thanks John. We (myself and my two boys) camped over Friday night and stayed through the airshow Saturday.  Much fun was had by all!

Most excellent event as always, had the pleasure of camping next to a group of young volunteers and watched as they put in long hard days to provide us with this venue. Many thanks goes out to all the people that make the Arlington Fly-in the success that it is.

Well, thank you very much everybody.  As you saw, it takes an army of volunteers to make that event happen!  They deserve all the credit for the long hours of hard work they put in.

We are all glad you enjoyed the show and hope you see you again next year!

I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to stop by PNWF HQ more this year.

I must agree - we in the Cherokee group had a great time, despite the weather.  The only real bummer was most of our folks left Saturday to avoid the weather on Sunday...and I'm always sad to see those wonderful people go.

John, you and Barbara make coming back with the Cherokee group such an easy decision ~ you guys have treated us wonderfully, thank you!

Hope your finances are in batter shape than ours - if so, we'll be back again next year!

Nothing official yet.  Some neighbors/friends were at the awards announcement deal and I heard Bob & Bill Juranich won
Grand Champion Antique/Vintage with their Command-Aire biplane restoration, and neighbor/friend Jeff Poschwatta won
Champion with his Interstate Cadet.  Yours Truly won Grand Champion Classic with the 1954 Cessna 180.    ;)
