Holy cow - that is EARLY.  I usually figure July 4th, not June 4th.

Is there any way to get from the airport to that fruit stand?  I'm missing the crew cars from Wenatchee.

There are cherries and then there are cherries.  Those you get toward the end of June and much better than those bought at the beginning of June.

From the sample sign on the left, it looks like "Prueba" - a variety I have not tasted before.  Exciting!   ;)

Actually, if you blow up the sign *behind* them, it says the variety is Chelan.

Give me a call and I'll run you down there. It's only a couple of miles. I already need more.

The "Chelans" are very good.

I may have to take you up on that tomorrow morning, Skywag. I'd tentatively planned to come over the rocks, though the latest forecast has the winds over the mountains looking a bit strong.  Hopefully the weather will change its mind and settle down.

I'm gonna wait a few weeks - the Mrs likes Rainiers especially. Thanks for the offer - I might take you up on it later!

Looks like I'll be waiting too; the winds aloft are forecast to be stiff (SEA 2317 2623+08 2629+05) and an airmet for moderate turbulence this afternoon doesn't bode well. I may just have to make that flyin breakfast.
