.....Sunday is being spearheaded by FATPNW. .... The day will include:
....- Spot Landing Contest
.....- Flour Bombing Contest

Are these two sunday events being held at KAWO?
If so, attendance must gonna be waaay down from the good old days of the Arlington fly-in--
there was so much "normal" traffic that nobody woulda ever even thunk about trying to do a runway-involved event like those.

Considering the Fly-In is officially over the previous day.....

I've seen a lot of coyotes on airports, but never worried about them. They're pretty darn smart....

You forgot to say that they're also geniuses at camouflage ...

IFR Workshop on Saturday, June 24 at 10am at Rainier Flight Service.  Join fellow pilots in an open forum dedicated to IFR flying.  Ask questions and share your experiences in a relaxed, social setting.  This monthly 2-hour forum is FREE and moderated by a Rainier Flight Instructor to ensure accurate information and interpretation of regulations, policies and safety.

The topic this month is STARs/SIDs.  Even if you are not up in the flight levels you can still be assigned a SID or STAR for a medium-sized airport.   A professional flight instructor will walk through several real-world scenarios including how to load in navigation equipment, climb/descend via and filing.  Bring your questions to participate in this open forum discussion.

....when a coyote ran from right to left across the runway in front of me and my student just before rotation. He probably came within a dozen feet of either getting sliced by the prop or hitting the left gear on the 152, but managed to get across the centerline just before we reached him.
I've seen a lot of coyotes on airports, but never worried about them. They're pretty darn smart....whereas deer are dumber than dirt..
Sometimes they even seem to have a death wish.

Thanks. Google Earth street view photo is from Sept 2012. At the time it seems they had apples, peaches, tomatoes, and other fruit :)

Tony, are you the PNF Headquarters this year?

Hi Klaus

Not sure yet if I will be able to make it. We are in the process of selling our business and Arlington falls right in the transition period.
I may just drive down for the Saturday.
