Title: Well done videos on the San Juan Islands:
Post by: Flying Dan on March 29, 2017, 07:36:21 AM
We've only been on Roche for about a year developing our lot (eventually a hangar/home).  Can't believe I haven't run into these guys yet.  Very interesting and well done:

Roche Harbor has an active flying community. I know Bob Brunkow and many of the other pilots there. John Nance, that guy that's on the news whenever an airliner goes down, lives there. We also have 2, count 'em 2 Myers here. You know  the "best airplane ever built". You should also check out Chris Teren's aerial photography site.

The runway is narrow at less than 30' which has really helped me hone my landing skills. It makes flying into new airports much less stressful.

Thanks for posting,

Oh and BTW.

Island Petroleum will deliver Ethanol-Free Mogas to your hangar. They'll even sell you a clean 55 gallon drum. They also stock aviation oil.

These are great! I've done a lot of flying in the SJI and I'd heard a smattering of some of these stories; it's great to hear a more complete history from a more reliable source. Thanks for sharing!
