They look like a lot of fun. There was a really nice 1991 Tiger for sale down in Florida.  It's hard to find a good family plane, my partner and I started looking at 172s, then 182s and PA32s, starting to settle on 205s - which are few and far between.

Best of luck finding a partner!
Service ceiling is 13,500; however I did get it up to 15,500 once and still climbing strong, but that had more to do with the mountain wave I was riding.
Thanks!  Useful load is 850lbs. 130 knots TAS at 75%.

Also fun to fly! Responsive controls, loads of elevator and rudder, and that canopy just cannot be beat.

So, he's obviously using external ballistics and orbital mechanics theory in his calculations.  Wonder what the "flat-earth" stuff is all about?

That is what I should have purchased, I got something almost exactly like this one:
It works for a comp diff check, but just barely.  An extra $50-50 would've had me a much better unit.

Hopefully if others read this before buying a little compressor, it can help them make a good choice.

Shortly after I got my plane I bought this air compressor for the hangar: It's been reliably used for cylinder compression checks, pumping up tires, running a spark plug cleaner, and general air gun blowing. It easily produces more than 100 psi. I don't think the tank has enough capacity to run most air power tools, paint sprayers, and the like, but I don't use it for that. It's pretty loud when it runs, but not deafening, and I think it's similar to most units its size.
